Gary Graver’s sexy Camp Quim is a sun-drenched playground where well-heeled L.A. dads dump their naughty daughters for a summer of wholesome outdoor fun—and plenty of decidedly unwholesome extracurricular activity. Counselors Janey Robbins and Paul Thomas get sweaty between lessons, complete with sizzling dialogue, while the rowdy campers head off fishing… if you know what I mean.

It’s porn wrapped in an idyllic summer-camp fantasy, but don’t let all that sunshine fool you—there’s some nasty business brewing underneath. Sleazy, greasy characters abound, including the always aptly savage Herschel, sporting a T-shirt that proudly reads, “Gimme’ head till I’m dead.” Somewhere between cornball comedy and sheer lunacy, but stuffed to the gills with sex, silliness, and enough hot-and-heavy action to make the camp counselors sweat. Kimberly Carson is the real firecracker, though, stealing every scene with enough sass to run the whole damn summer camp.

Gary Graver’s lively camera keeps the gags, sleaze, and sheer absurdity coming, whether he’s shooting poolside aerobics or topless women throwing down. Graver, the prolific exploitation filmmaker who also happened to admire and collaborate with Orson Welles, knows exactly how to keep this lunacy moving. No matter how bonkers things get, it all fits perfectly into the porno-centric universe Summer Camp Girls has cooked up. Hell, where else can being Catholic literally save your ass from a deranged mobster with a gun? Exactly. It’s just plain fun.
